WHAT IS AN OPERATOR LICENCE APPLICATIONS AND VARIATIONS?

If you wish to operate commercial goods vehicles for almost any reason you will require an Operator Licence.

To apply for an Operator Licence you must follow the application process set out by the Office of the Traffic Commissioner.  In recent months the application process has moved to an almost completely paperless, online service which allows the much quicker supply of information via electronic means.

Some of the information that you need to know when applying for an Operator Licence include:

• The Fitness of the applicant to hold an Operator Licence
• The Details of the Maintenence Provider (Internal or External)
• Details of the Operating Centre where you are going to base your vehicles
• Details of the correct financial standing 
• Details of the nominated Transport Manager (If required)
